Note: Per the Orleans Civil District Court Civil Filing Fee Schedule effective January 1, 2026, a succession (Administration or Simple Possession) filing fee is $442.50, and a succession for a gross estate of $200,000 or less (Administration or Simple Possession) is $255.50 (each total includes a $25.00 building-fund fee). A petition for notice of application for appointment of administrator is $179.50; a proof of claim against a succession is $181.50. These are non-refundable filing fees paid to the Clerk at the time of filing, not deposits. Verify current amounts with the Clerk before filing.
