Note: The Pike County Circuit Clerk's posted civil filing-fee schedule (marked effective July 1, 2019 and posted on the county website in November 2025) lists Probate (PR) at $356.00, with estate claim filing fees of $25 ($150 to $500), $40 ($501 to $10,000), and $60 ($10,001 and over). Illinois circuit clerk civil filing fees, including probate case filing fees, are set by county ordinance within the statutory maximums of 705 ILCS 105/27.1b (Clerks of Courts Act), and a $100 guardianship and advocacy operations fee under 705 ILCS 105/27.3f applies to decedent estate administration filings; published county totals such as this one bundle those components. The small estate affidavit (755 ILCS 5/25-1) is presented directly to banks and other asset holders, not filed with the court, so it has no court filing fee; the clerk's page notes small estate affidavit forms are offered as a courtesy and are not filed in that office. Newspaper publication of the claim notice is paid directly to the newspaper. County fee schedule accessed 2026-07-18. Verify the current amounts with the Pike County Circuit Clerk before filing.
